"Solitude"

I love painting dandelion clocks. That ephemeral notion of past and future tied together in a humble garden weed. When we look at a dandelion clock we are reminded of the bright yellow flower head (the past) but we are seeing the present (in the seed form) and the future as pieces lift off to seed themselves and start anew. I like to paint the seed heads in a glowing gold... encapsulating not only the gold of the dandelion flower, but the potential for all futures to be golden.
