"After the Rain"

 This painting was inspired by that memory of a passing summer storm where the grass is wet and in places, puddles have formed, catching the blue sheen of the sky. The tree tops seem to catch the undersides of passing clouds, and on the horizon, the lightest sliver of robin's egg blue is showing under the lifting grey. The air is fragrant and clean; the best kind of summer storms.
